Mauricio Stern

Welcome to my webpage!

I am a PhD candidate in Economics from University of Texas at Austin. I am currently on the Job market and expect to graduate in May 2023.

My primary fields are applied macroeconomics and international economics. My research have focused on the impact of commodity price shocks in small open economy using time series and structural econometrics.

Before my graduate studies, I worked as research analyst in CAF Development bank, collaborating in policy reports and experimental research on tax collection, intergenerational mobility, and labor training programs. Additionally I worked as analyst in Econlink consulting, engaging on projects about sectoral tax policies, labor markets, innovation and natural resources extraction rights.
